What Our Customers Say:
The service is good and quick. They had no diesel cars left, but we could choose from several gasoline cars. The only minus - too many scratches on all doors, roof ...2013-11-26Andrey
It was a little unclear at first after coming through passport control in the arrival hall, but found the rental place very quickly, bus service ok. Service was excellent, very friendly person, taking the time to explain the contract. I knew about the full tank of petrol, which I don't like, but have to accept. Also the insurance was explained. The car hire was very cheap so I wasn't expecting too much, the car had a few marks on it, but was in perfect working order. Tires could do with a renewal soon. The car was clean, radio working,so all in all I was happy.2013-11-26Marijke Phillips

A Quick Guide to... Romorantin
Romorantin is a commune in the Loir-et-Cher department of France. It is located towards the very centre of the country and its full name is Romorantin-Lanthenay. It covers a small land area just 45 square kilometres in total and has a population of around18 thousand people as of the last count in 1999. Up until 1961 the area was actually two separate communes, Romorantin and Lanthenay until they merged to form a single one. There are no airports in Romorantin so road and rail are the primary ways to get to the commune.
Perhaps the single biggest event in the commune is a gastronomy festival held on the last weekend of October every year and more than 13 thousand people visit the area during this festival to celebrate and enjoy fine food and wine as well as the culture of the area. It is called Les Journees Gastronomiques de Sologne and has been held every year since 1978.
The town itself holds little other interest for tourists apart from the Musee de Sologne situated in the Old Mills in the centre of town that showcases the history, ecology and traditions of the commune. Surround the town, however, there are many different places to explore. Children love the Aliotis Aquarium just five kilometres outside the town where fish, sharks and turtles can be seen as well as the main attraction, a tank full of about 1000 piranhas. There are a number of well used bike and hiking routes around the outside of town and bicycle rental can be obtained from in the town too.
Driving around in a foreign country can be very disorientating and stressful but as more and more hire cars come standard with satellite navigation, it isn?t nearly as difficult as it once was with huge foldout maps. Because of this, car hire in Romorantin comes well recommended. Anycarhire.com makes the process of hiring a car in Romorantin quick and easy by providing you with a platform to compare quotations on car hire as well as make bookings for the car you want so you?re not stuck taking anything available when you arrive in Romorantin, potentially costing you more.
