The service is good and quick. They had no diesel cars left, but we could choose from several gasoline cars. The only minus - too many scratches on all doors, roof ...

It was a little unclear at first after coming through passport control in the arrival hall, but found the rental place very quickly, bus service ok. Service was excellent, very friendly person, taking the time to explain the contract. I knew about the full tank of petrol, which I don't like, but have to accept. Also the insurance was explained. The car hire was very cheap so I wasn't expecting too much, the car had a few marks on it, but was in perfect working order. Tires could do with a renewal soon. The car was clean, radio working,so all in all I was happy.

A Quick Guide to... La Manga

Le Manga is a resort located in the city of Murcia, on the south-eastern coast of Spain. It’s a strip of land 22 kilometres long and is well known throughout Europe for its nightlife and hotels. In particular the Zoco area of the town is where the main tourist attractions can be found. The local language spoken is Spanish and the currency is the Euro.

The actual land was mostly untouched until the middle of the 20th century when Le Manga started to be seen as a possible tourist resort on the Mediterranean. It was at this point that the land spit was transformed into the urbanised place it is now.

Due to the resort being located on the strip of land between two seas it’s very popular with water sports enthusiasts. You will be able to sign up to sailing and water skiing schools throughout the year, or just rent out water skis and sailing boats yourself, if you’ve got experience. The resort also has a number of nearby golf courses, such as the La Manga Golf Club, which is an 18-hole championship standard course, and the Le Manga Stadium, which hosts pre-season friendlies of many British football clubs in the summer.

Due to being in the Mediterranean Sea the weather in La Manga is hot all year round, with temperatures rarely dipping below 10C. Due to the winds blowing off the Mediterranean Sea it’s often very humid in the summer so it’s advisable to wear sun cream at all times if you intend on travelling to Le Manga in the summer.
