What Our Customers Say:
The service is good and quick. They had no diesel cars left, but we could choose from several gasoline cars. The only minus - too many scratches on all doors, roof ...2013-11-26Andrey
It was a little unclear at first after coming through passport control in the arrival hall, but found the rental place very quickly, bus service ok. Service was excellent, very friendly person, taking the time to explain the contract. I knew about the full tank of petrol, which I don't like, but have to accept. Also the insurance was explained. The car hire was very cheap so I wasn't expecting too much, the car had a few marks on it, but was in perfect working order. Tires could do with a renewal soon. The car was clean, radio working,so all in all I was happy.2013-11-26Marijke Phillips

A Quick Guide to... Catania Fontanarossa Airport
Catania airport is the main way for visitors to get into Sicily. It is only 3 miles away from the city centre and although it only has the one terminal it is able to handle 6.2 million passengers a year and it is Italy?s 4th busy airport. There are plans to expand it and as a result many of the world?s major airlines have said they are happy to fly there. The terminal was enlarged in 2007 but it seems that there may need to be further expansion.
There has been an airport in Catania since 1924 but the current airport has been in place since 1950 when it was expanded. It is near to the A19 motorway meaning it is easy not only to get to the centre of Catania but also Palermo. Syracuse is nearby and can be reached by the E45. Buses and taxis run from the airport while there is a shuttle bus that goes to the Central Train Station.
Since its refurbishment there are now many facilities for visitors. There is a bank, cash machines and a business suite for business visitors allowing them to work while they wait for their flight. A conference room can also be hired. A choice of restaurants and bars provide food and drink and the time spent waiting for the flight can also be spent shopping at a range of normal outlets as well as duty free ones. The airport?s information desk can provide travelers with advice regarding lost baggage and flight information while for details of things to see and do there is a tourist advice desk. Parking is not a problem as there are 1100 short and long term parking spaces and it is easy to pick up and drop off passengers and also get aid for those with disabilities.
Driving from the airport is popular and companies such as Europcar have stations there meaning that is it possible to get a car and drive into Catania rather than use public transport. Depending on when you get there you will find that there are many different types of car hire available. To make sure you can have the car you want waiting for you when you arrive, you can book through www.anycarhire.com before you leave. Any Car Hire have a wide range of vehicles to choose from and all prices are competitive.
