Getting to Wexford
No planes can be taken directly to Wexford, but upon taking a flight to Dublin or some other major Irish city, buses, trains or ferries can be taken to Wexford from there.
The town of Wexford is situated in the southeastern part of Ireland. Approximately eight buses daily travel from Dublin to Wexford and back. A regular bus route also exists between Waterford Town and Wexford.
Ferries regularly sail from France and Wales to the port of Rosslare, located very near to Wexford. On a daily ferry service from Fishguard operated by Stena Line, it takes three and half hours to reach Rosslare, near Wexford. Irish Ferries operate another ferry service from Pembroke which takes almost four hours. A ferry service to Roscoff from Rosslare also exists, and it operates from the end of April to the end of September during the year.
Upon reaching Wexford, you can easily reach your desired destination within the city by means of a bus service operated by Shuttlebus, the routes of which cover the entire city. Keep an eye out for the blue and yellow bus stop signs. Shuttlebus also operates bus services to Castlebridge and Kilmore Quay.
