The airport is close to Tramore bay and 5 miles from Waterford city center, Waterford is located on the south east coast of Ireland. The Dublin International airport is two hours drive from Waterford airport.

Waterford City Overview

Viking traders on a bend of the board Suir founded the city in 850 A.D. Waterford is the fifth largest city of Ireland, also the national gateway and to Europe. The city is magnificently located on the lush plane of eastern edge with huge rugged mountains extending westwards to the river Black water.

Pre-Historic Sites : include the Standing Stones, Fulachta Fiadh (cooking pits), Cairns around Kilbrien and Knockboy on the Comeragh mountains and Nire valley. The Mothel Abbey a 13 th century site near Rathgormack is also vastly visited.
