Red Tape and Visas

In turkey all visitors, except, New Zealanders, require a visa or Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) to enter the country.Three-month tourist visas are issued free and processed over the counter, providing all your documentation and other details are in order, or are returned in three weeks by mail. Electronic Travel Authority (ETA)is a new computerised sysyem,it  is speeding things up and doing away with all the bother of filling in forms, queueing or sending off passports for visits of up to three months: customers give their details to airline or travel agents who transmit them to Australia, with confirmation taking only a few minutes.  Citizens of European Union countries can travel freely in France, while those from Australia, Canada, the United States and New Zealand do not need a visa, and can stay for up to ninety days. EU citizens who stay longer than three months are officially supposed to apply for a residence permit, for which you'll have to show proof of  among other things  a regular income or sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay.
