The city of Turin- hailed as the industrial capital and the center for automobiles of Italy; is the capital of Piedmont region. The city is also famous for being the main cultural attraction of Italy. The city with its immense natural beauty and rich cultural treasures lures hundreds of tourists each year. The transportation system in and around the city is well-structured enough to support the reputation of the city as a tourist interest.
The town was held as the organizing venue of the Olympic 2006- so a strong network of transportation has been built to strengthen the arrangements for such a prestigious event. This however, has resulted into providing the city an edge for serving as a tourist spot.
The city can be reached by air, railway or motorways. There are regular flights to and from Turin to almost every part of Europe and Italy. The flights are economic also.
The internal railway and motor routes inside Turin is well structured and the city provides dependable services of bus and trams. People can even hire taxis or drive own cars to Turin. With pleasant boulevards linking the main sites of the city, roaming around Turin remains same appealing to the pedestrians too.
The railway access to Turin is powered by Eurostar- the famous inter-Europe railway network. The train leaves from Geneva for Milan, and on the way it touches the beautiful city of Turin. An underground single line way has also been built in 2006.
