Arrival
SGT, international airport of Stuttgart is small in compared to Frankfurt airport and serves most of the national and international flights. It is conveniently close to city and at a 13km distance. You can be at the centre of town in 30 minutes train journey. Stuttgart is connected to rest of the Germany by the frequent services of train. The slower but the cheaper option of traveling are available by the buses and if you're daring enough to try out the Autobahn, two major routes pass the city. The bike is the eco-friendly way to get mobile in the city. The S-Bahn and U-Bahn also have restricted bike access times which should be checked to avoid fines from roving police. The maps and information for organized rides can be finding from the ADFC (Breitscheidstrasse 82). The parking is available through out the city at very reasonable price. Avis, Sixt and Europcar have car-hire offices at Terminal One at the airport and at the Hauptbahnhof. Taxis are also a mostly affordable option. Stuttgart's public transport network is probably the cheapest option - day passes are the best value.
