
Stornoway Airport
The Airport is located on the east coast of Lewis, Scottish Island and few miles from Stornoway. The airport is important access point for inter island service and western islands. The airport serves as a base for search and rescue operations operated by HM Coastguard and it was also a base for RAF.
To and From Airport
From Stornoway town centre to the airport is 3 miles with the roads signposted from A866 towards the airport.
Taxi / Car : when travelling from east of the island use the main road A866 which goes to the eastern part if the island. From west, there are two ways A858 and A859 both the roads lead to the airport. From the north of the island take the A857 main road.
Bus : the bus services run throughout the town serving travellers from centre of the town to airport, which is 4 miles apart. The bus service is also provided to other major towns in the island.

Facilities for Disabled : for help with wheelchair push, lifts, ramps, check-in , with luggage all facilities are available in the terminal building. Ambulift is available for boarding the aircraft but request has to be made to the revelant airlines.
