Weather in Slovenia

The country of Slovenia shows diverse features in climate pattern. The climate of Slovenia can be distinguished in four main regions.

•  The alpine region: in this area the climate is influenced by alpine climate. The zone has more than 2500mm of rainfall each year as well as heavy snowfall. More than half of the year the area remains under snow.

•  The central region: the climate hence is temperate and can be coined as subalpine. Summers here are pretty hot, and in the warmest months the temperature average to 18-20° C. this zone has a rich sunshine record accompanied by moderate rainfall. The precipitation rate is 1300-1600mm.

•  The coastal area: the coastal part is mainly characterized by Mediterranean climate. Summers are warm and dry, but the winters are mild. Sunshine is adequate in this part of land with an average rate of rainfall.

•  The eastern zone: the eastern zone has been influenced by moderate continental climate patterns. The average annual temperature here is about 23°C. rainfall here is much less than the other parts and it merely reaches 900mm per year.

Due to geographical locations weather patterns might be quite diverse in Slovenia , yet each part of the country is beautiful and alluring.
