The weather of Slovakia is continental climate, and the land is blessed with four seasons; each with unique features. Summers here are hot and humid while winters tend to be typically cold.
The climate of the land has been determined by its geographical position in the moderate continental band. It has been found that the land gets most heated during July and August, sometimes the heat also get pretty uncomfortable. Temperature at these times stay somewhere near the mid 30's. while July and August are the warmest months, January and February come with horrifying cold. At this period of the year temperature doesn't even rise from the freezing point at the afternoon. However, May and June is said to be the most comfortable months in Slovakia . The late autumns in the country remain cold and grey.
The daily temperature in Bratislava averages to -3° to 2° C in January and 16° to 26° C in July; however, temperatures are much colder in the mountains. The annual rate of precipitation in these areas is nearly 650mm. at the higher areas due to the heights snow is a very common feature. Sometimes these places have snow almost 130 days a year.
