Over the last few years, the number of quality places for eating out in Sligo has increased manifold.
For those who are on a budget, Café Mauds at the Quayside Shopping Centre offers wraps, sandwiches, crepes, coffee, and fabulous ice-cream at great prices. The Eurobar in Stephen Street Car Park is famous for its coffee, but offers only light snacks to eat. The Java Riverside Café in 4 Rockwood Parade sells hand-made sandwiches and wraps of excellent quality, as well as good coffee. It also offers takeaway services, and is busiest during lunch hours. The Pepper Alley in Rockwood Parade is famous for its sandwich bar, and also sells some hot food.
The Poppadom Restaurant in 34 O'Connell Street offers high-quality Asian delicacies. The menu features a good mix of Indian, Thai and Indonesian dishes among others.
The Fiddler’s Creek in Rockwood Parade sells steaks, chicken and pasta dishes, and offers speedy and friendly service to its customers.
Mardees in Castle Street is a new restaurant with a small but unique menu, cheerful interior decoration and highly efficient staff.
The Café Bar Deli in Stephens Street overlooks the Garavogue river, and offers some of the best views in the town of Sligo. This restaurant serves Mediterranean food, pizza, pasta etc.. Advance bookings are not necessary unless the customers intend to arrive in large groups.
