Saudi Arabia is a land of mystery largely due to its fundamentalist Islam state form and its rigid admission policy. Half of the country consists of uninhabitable desert and there are no permanent rivers and lakes and it si the largest country in the middle east. This country is fairly rich country due to its vast oilfields. The country’s capital is Riyadh situated in the very interior of the country. The whole of the middle east is titled so the southwest of Saudi Arabia has mountains as high as 3000 meters while the east has lowlands. The country is rich in history and culture especially of the towns of Mecca and Medina both of which are thriving cultural and commercial centers.
Saudi Arabia houses some of the famous attractions, some of these are- The Najd which is a stony desert plateau at the heart of Saudi Arabia somewhat isolated from the rest of the peninsula, Hasa the Eastern Region, a fertile lowland coastal plains inhabitated by the kingdom’s Shia minority who have traditionally lived by fishing, diving for pearls, raising date palms and trading abroad and with the interior, The western and the southern regions of Saudi Arabia comprises of the Hejaz- a center for trade but is of equal importance is the concentration of Islamic holy cities including the Mecca and Medina which attracts pilgrims from all over the world. Mecca the spiritual center of the Islamic world forbidden fo non-Muslims and Medina the second holiest city in Islam and also forbidden to non-Muslims.
