There are six daily flights to Santiago from the Madrid and three flights from Barcelona to Santiago. The international airport is situated 11km from the centre on the road to Lugo and to the east of Santiago de Compostela at Lavacolla in Galicia. From La Coruña, 14 trains make the 1-hour trip daily. Three trains arrive daily from Madrid. Buses leave on the hour, connecting La Coruña with Santiago (1 hr.). Seven buses arrive in Santiago daily from Madrid (8-9 hr.). If you're driving, take the express highway (A-9/E-50) south from La Coruña to reach Santiago. From Madrid, N-VI runs to Galicia. From Lugo, head south along N-640.
