San Francisco Airport of the Airport: The airport is located 14 miles south of San Francisco, take Route 101 south and follow signs to the airport.
Traveling to & from the San Francisco Airport:
By Rail: The airport station is linked to all the terminals via the free Air Train service. The Bay Area Rapid Transit operates to the nothern San Mateo country San Francisco and the east bay from the SFO BART station on the departures level of the international terminal.
By Bus: Bus station at the terminal serves to the city center of San Francisco and to San Mateo country.
By Taxi: Taxis serves to all the destinations from outside the arrival hall of all the terminals and there are limousine companies providing transport to and from the airport and must be pre arranged. Door-to-door van service is also available at the terminal providing service to various destinations in and around the city of San Francisco.
Terminal information: There are four terminals at the airport and a 24 hour Air Train light rail links the international terminal with the other terminals.
Information desk: The information desk at the airport is located on the arrivals hall of all the four termianls. Travellers Aid Kiosks are located on the departures level of all the terminals, (tel: 650 821 2735).
San Francisco Airport Facilities:
Currency: ATMs and bureau de change is available in all the terminals, a full service bank is located at terminal 3 and a self service postal center is also available.
Refreshments: Restaurants, cafes, bars and fast food outlets are available at all the terminals.
Shopping: Shopping is fabulous in the airport terminal, duty free shops at the international terminal and other shops like gifts, newsagent, clothing, sweetshops and other accessories are available in all the terminal.
Left and lost luggage: Left luggage office is available at the Airport Travel Agency in the international terminal and lost luggage office is on the arrival hall of terminal 1, (tel: 650 821 7014).
Other facility: Other facility includes a 24 hour first aid service, a medical cente and a meditation room. A nursery is also available on the first floor of terminal 2.
Car Park: A long term car park is available 2 miles north of the airport and a free shuttle bus service is provided which operates between the long term parking and the terminals. A short term parking is also available at both the domestic and the international parking garages.
San Francisco Airport Disabled facility: Ramp access, lifts, wheelchairs and specially fitted toilets are available for the disabled passengers at all the four terminals. There are TDD and TTY phones throughout the airport for the hearing impaired passengers. Any assistance requiring the airline employees can assist passengers with disabilities before depature and upon arrival. Designated parking is also available in all the car parks at the terminal, (tel: 650 821 7900).
