Romania the most beautiful country in the Eastern Europe and includes regions of a medieval era, which is lost in other parts of the world. The country is located in the southeastern part of central Europe and border’s with five countries and the black sea. Bucharest is the capital of Romania.

Peles Castle : located in the town of Sinaia at the foot hills of the Bucegi mountains in the Prahove castles. The masterpiece castle of German new renaissance architecture is considered as the most elegant castle in the whole of Europe. The castle was commissioned by king Carol I in 1873 and completed in 1883 with 160 rooms of fine European art.

Corvinesti Castle : the castle in Gothic style was built in the 14 th century at the site of a former Roman camp to serve as a fortress. Until mid 14 th century the castle became the residence of Transylvania’s ruler, Iancu de Hunedoara, who reconstructed the castle.

The Royal Palace of Bucharest : the palace built in the neoclassical style during 1927 is a former official royal residence. The Romania’s National Museum of Arts is housed in the royal palace, which includes the works of the Theodor Aman, Ioan Andreescu, Constantin Brancusi, Nicolae Grigorescu, Rembrandt, Rubens and many more.

Bran Castle : an fortified medieval castle built in 1377 to protect Brasov is often referred to as the Dracula castle. The some of the castle’s rooms are connected through the underground passage to the inner court, which is surrounded by the rooms and the towers. The castle was gifted by the local people to the Queen Maria of Romania in 1920, which she made it her favorite residence.

The Palace of Parliament : the world’s second largest building after the pentagon located in Bucharest. The last communist leader of Romania, Nicolae Ceausescu, commissioned the building. The controversial building with 6,000 rooms is the perfect presentation of Romanian architecture.

Mogosoaia Palace : located nine miles from Bucharest the palace was built in the 1698 by Wallachia’s ruler, Cosntantin Brancoveanu. The palace is home to the Muzeul Brancovenesc (Brancovenesc Museum), which includes paintings, wood and stone sculptors, gold and silver embroideries, rare books and precious stones.

BrUKenthal Palace : the palace was commissioned by the German governor of Transylvania, Samuel BrUKenthal in the late 17 th century. The governor was a great art lover and collector and wanted his palace to be converted into Transylvania’s fine art museum.

Banffy Palace : the late Baroque palace has Rococo Viennese elements and was built between 1774-1785. The museum exhibition includes Cluj Art Museum, exhibitions of icons, Persian carpets, oriental weapons, medieval tools and furniture and works by Romanian painters and sculptors.
