The airport is located 10 miles south of Durham and 10 miles northeast of Raleigh city. The airport is situated off I-40 and US 70 road at the mid point between Durham and Raleigh city.
Raleigh-Durham Airport Terminal Information
The airport has two terminals A and C, the huge A terminal handles international carriers and terminal C for domestic carriers. For easy access to the terminals the airport shuttle buses provided complimentary service in between terminals.
Information Desk
The airport information desks are located in the baggage reclaim areas of both the terminals and automatic information kiosks are also located in the same place (Ph: 919 840 2123). Customer service representative and volunteers are available throughout the terminals for providing assistance to tourists.
Raleigh-Durham Airport Facilities
Currency Exchanger & ATMs : bureau de change and cash dispensers are located at terminal 1 and at gate C16 of terminal 2.
Food & Drinks : the airport has wide range of cafes, restaurants and American fast food outlets serving refreshments and meals located in both the terminals.
Shopping : range of shops are available in both the terminals before and after security control. The duty free shops are located in a small section of terminal A and at gate C16 of terminal C.
Left / Lost Luggage : the lost luggage desk is operated by RDU Airport Authority Police Dept. for information call (Ph: 840 2125).
Other Facilities : children play area and baby change rooms are available in the terminals.
The meditation room is located in terminal A.
Internet cafes and access points are available throughout the terminals.
Fax and photocopiers are available in terminal C
Raleigh Durham Airport Facilities for Disabled
The terminals are easily access for disabled passengers and ramps, lifts provided for accessing different levels. Specially designed adaptable toilets, telephones and wheelchair are available on request. For any specific assistance at the airport the airlines should be informed in advance. Car parking is available at designated car parks and transportation from the car parks is provided by airport complimentary bus service. Any specific assistance the airlines should be in advance.
