Getting Portugal

Portugal is a small country and tourist can get easily in the country. Three international airport of Portugal serves for international flights. Portugal has number of airport for international flights. Lisbon (LIS) (Portela de Sacavem) in Lisbon situated 7km to the north of the city. Green line buses 44, 45, and 83 provide services every 15 minutes between the city centre and main railway station. Other airport is Faro (FAO) and Oporto situated 4km to the west of the city and 11km from the city centre. Lisbon, Faro and Oporto all are having the following facility: outgoing duty free shops, bank/bureau de change, car hire and a restaurant/bar. Distances are small in Portugal and you can get almost everywhere easily and efficiently by train, bus or ferry. Although trains are usually cheaper, and some lines are highly scenic, it's often quicker to go by bus - especially on shorter or less obvious routes. CP, the Portuguese railway company, operates all trains. About ninety percent are designated Regional, stop at most stations en route, and have first- and second-class cars. Hitching should generally not be a good option, not only because of the country's high accident rate but it is often difficult to get a lift. It is definitely not recommended for women or solo travelers.

In fact once you have made your journey to Portugal, prior to finalizing in on any travel mode, be it that you rent a car in Portugal or opt to hitch hike just make sure you weigh your options and chose accordingly. But if you are against flying within Portugal owing to the expenses then availing the Portugal car rental would be the best idea to enjoy all the scenery whilst you are on the go.
