About Pisa Airport
Location of the Airport: The Pisa International Airport is located 1 mile north of Pisa within easy reach of Genoa, Leghorn and Florence on the A12 motorway.
Traveling to & from the Pisa Airport:
- By Rail: The railway station is located next to the terminal and accessed via a covered walkway, they operate to Lucca via Pisa Centrale. Train service operates to Florence via Montecatini and Pistoia.
- By Bus: Bus station is located just out side the arrivals hall and from the Cassa Parcheggi outside the departures hall. The buses are easily recognized by a green canopy bearing the words City Bus. They serve to the city center making several stops.
- By Taxi: Taxi runs 24 hours from the airport terminal operated by the Radio Taxi, tel:(0) 50 541 600). Collective taxi is also operated which runs to the Pisa Centrale railway station and Ospedale Santa Chiara.
Information Desk: Information desk is located in the arrival hall at the airport terminal providing information on flights and tourist information, tel: (0) 50 849 300). There is also a separate tourist information desk at the arrivals hall, tel: (0) 50 503 700).
- Pisa Airport Facilities:
- Currency: Bank and ATMs are available in the airport terminal and an automatic currency machine is also provided at the terminal.
- Refreshments: Restaurants are available in the first floor one of which is a self-service restaurant. Bar is on the ground floor of the terminal.
- Shopping: Shopping can be accessed from both the floors and there is also a tax-free shopping available in the terminal. A tax refund facility is also available in the departure of the terminal.
- Lost & Left Luggage: Left luggage facility is available at the information desk and porter service facility is also available at the terminal.
- Other Facility: First aid service and an Air health office is available with a surgery vaccination. Children play area is also available at the airport terminal.
- Car parking: Car parking is located at the arrivals and the departures of the terminal having short and long term parking facility. Short-term parking is available at the departures area and long term parking in the multi-storey car park next to the railway terminal on the departures side.
Pisa Airport Facility for the Disabled: Elevators, ramp access, wheelchairs and disabled toilets are some of the facilities provided by the airport authority for the disabled passengers. TTDs are also provided for the hearing impaired passengers. Reserved car park is available in the multi storey car park. Disabled passengers need to inform the airline for any assistance required prior to their travel.
