
Perugia
Perugia is a nice medieval town famous for its universities making the city lively and multicultural. The lower part of the city is modern with the famous Perugina Chococlate factory. Perugia the great Guelf strong hold rises up in Umbia’s heart with the five historical quarters surrounded by Etruscan town walls.
Tourist attractions are in plenty to see starting from Arts and Monuments, religious, Museums and galleries. Other major attractions include the Galleria Nazionale dell Umbria and the Palazzo delle Penne with collections of Dottore Beuys and the Cattedrale San Lorenzo. The Archeologico museum is at the south end of the city and has a good collection of arts from the Etruscan times.
Some of the inexpensive hotels are at the old part of the city. An antique market is held on the first Sunday of every month in perugia. Accommodation is in plenty ranging from hostels, campsites, hotels and apartments in and around the city.
