Palermo International airport is located 20 Km from the city of Palermo, ancient capital of Sicily and the islands largest city. Inspiring collections of art, archeology and ethnography are of all three museums and the glorious Norman churches of La Maratorana and San Giovanni degli Eremeti.Traveling to & from the Palermo Airport:
The Palermo airport bus station operates bus service direct to the city center every 30 minutes till midnight. Train service operates from morning to midnight, which stops at the Central Station with intermediate stops. Taxis are plentiful and cost is calculated on the fare shown on the taximeter and is available outside the arrivals area.Information Desk:

First aid facility is provided at the airport terminal attended by the Red Cross personnel and also an ambulance facility is provided. A baby room is also available in the Passenger Friendly Lounge.Palermo Airport Disabled Facilities :
Passengers with impaired mobility are provided with accessible wheelchairs and toilets and a rest room provided for them to rest while waiting for their flights attended by the Italian Red Cross members. Movable elevators and wheelchairs are also available for the disabled passengers to transfer them to the boarding gate and then to the aircraft. Reserved parking bays are available for the disabled passengers with staffs to assist them on request.
