Location
The airport is located 2 miles south of Newark and 16 miles southwest of New York city. The airport is New York’s third airport located off highway 78, from Manhattan the Holland Tunnel route has access to the airport.
Newark Airport Terminal Information
The airport building has three terminals that are linked by airport train service operated by AirTrain Newark. The terminal A handles domestic flights, terminal B for international flights and terminal C reserved for Continental airlines

Traveling to and from Newark Airport
The ground transportation information offices are located in the arrivals areas of the three terminals.
By Rail : the Newark’s airport rail link station is also linked to the terminals and transit trains operated to different stations in and around New York. The Amtrak and New Jersey transit trains operates to Penn station for traveling by the subway train PATH. The subway trains transports passengers to Manhattan, 33 rd street and stations inbetween them.
By Bus : from the airport the Airport Express buses transfers passengers to the main bus stations Port Authority Bus Terminal, Grand Central Station and Penn Station. The Express bus also serves routes in Brooklyn, Staten Island also Suburbs, Queens and the Bronx. Private companies operate shuttle bus service for tourist in the city.
Newark Liberty Airport Facility
Currency Exchanger & ATMs : bureau de change and cash dispensers are located at convenient places in all the three terminals. A bank is located in terminal C.
Food & Drinks : the airport provides good food and refreshment facilities with American fast food outlets the food court and some bars situated in all the terminals.
Shopping : for airport shopping the majority of the shops are located in terminal C. The duty free shops, newsagent, gift shop and some local and international variety goods selling shops are located in the other two terminals.
Left / Lost Luggage : the lost luggage office is available in the airport (Ph: 973 961 6230).
Other Facilities : 24-hour medical center is available in the terminals.
Departure Spa is located in terminal C.
Children play area is available in all the terminals.
Internet points and fax are available in the business lounges.
Newark Airport Facilities for Disabled
The airport has lifts, ramps for wheelchair access in the terminals and specially designed toilets, telephones and ATMs are located in the terminals. Wheelchair and electric carts are provided on request also assistance can be requested from Skycap porters (Ph: 973 961 6154) to transport passengers between terminals. For any special assistance the airlines should be informed in advance. Car parks are available at designated car parking at the airport.
