Moroccan cuisine is famed to be one of the best cuisines in the whole world. They pride their countless dishes each of which have uniqueness and they bear the history of colonial times and Arab rules on the land.
One great thing about Moroccans is they usually don't dine in restaurants. So if a traveler wants to taste the delicacies then he must know the places and must have the money to spend for them.
Here are some of the lists of the traditional cuisines of the land:
* Couscous: this dish is prepared from semolina grains. The name of the food stems from the name of the dish in which it is steamed in –couscoussière. This preparation is the staple food for most Moroccans. It is also said that this dish is the tastiest among the Moroccan cuisine and is best if served with Tagine.
* Tagine: again this dish also derives its name from the pot in which it is being simmered. The pot is a conical shaped pot where the stew of meat and vegetable are prepared.
* Kaliya is a preparation of lamb, bell peppers and tomatoes. Sautéed in onion this dish is served with couscous or bread. This dish has originated from Berber.
* pastilla is a delicate addition to Moroccan Gourmet. It is made by layering flakey dough with sweet meat and almond paste.
