Palace-It's located on top of the main hill with lots of stairs leading up. The architecture is great and the watching the guards in front of it are a strange experience. Casino in Monte Carlo- A gaming house, the "Société des Bains de Mer et du Cercle des Etrangers"(The Sea Bathing and Circle of Foreigners Company) was set up and the monopoly of its use was granted in 1863 to François Blanc. Under his guidance the name of Monaco became synonymous with fortune, gaming, holidays and travel. Luxury and refinement too since appeal could be made to the greatest names of the era, in particular to Charles Garnier, the architect of the Paris Opera House, for the building of the Casino. F1 Madness- Each year, Monaco hosts its own F1 Grand Prix. Held on an incredible street circuit, it basically covers the whole country. Monte Carlo Harbor & Marina- Monte Carlo Harbor & Marina is a place for some great pictures, take a walk up the road leading to the Palais and the Musses. On the opposite side of the harbor from the casino is the Royal Palace. Every day at 11:55AM sharp, the Royal Guards parade onto the palaceís front square, some with swords drawn, other shouldering rifles with bayonets. As the drums beat and the trumpets blare, they change guards and march off just at the palace clock strikes noon. The sight is well worth the short walk up the hill. The Oceanography Museum- An imposing building, constructed on a rock close to the sea. The house was designed by architect Delafortrie and inaugurated in 1910. Prince Albert I was the creator of this museum. He built new research instruments and modernized oceanography techniques by using photography and cinema besides his discoveries in the Atlantic and the Arctic regions.
