City of Destination
The Milan has the Spider Web’s Structure plan for its street and lies at the centre of the Cerchia dei navigli which follows the route of the medieval city walls. Whole of the Milan is divided into the 20th zone that are identified by the local council, but which also have name. The main orientation point of the city named, Piazza del Duomo is at the centre of the city. This area consists of the most of the city’s main sights. Visits to art galleries and museums, the Duomo and other churches can be punctuated with designer window-shopping in the so-called Quadrilatero d'Oro, or sipping overpriced drinks among the designer-dressed clientele of the pavement cafés of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele or around the Pinacoteca di Brera art gallery. Since Milan has the web structures of street, that’s why its not a very wanderable city and needs some judicial selection, walking a little but where necessary hopping between places by way of the metro or other public transport.
There are some well known streets at the north centre which are popular with the resident, businessmen, and visitors. Many people live in the city’s centre but they have some disadvantages and lacking of parking spaces, supermarket and dry cleaner’s, the rent can also be incredibly high. The gardens of the Porta Venezia make up a small, enclosed park, which is one of the most beautiful in the Milan. Also in the north, there is one of the largest commercial main roads which is easy to reach and well served by the metro. Southwest of Milan stands the Ticinese-Navigli area, this quarter is a mixture of old and new. Many of the original residents (or their descendants) still live in Ticinese and there are many case di ringhiera - apartments with wrought-iron balconies that face inwards.
