Miami in Florida is often referred to as the epicenter of cool and is located on the southeast tip of Florida. The city is one of America’s most ultramodern cities, the second largest in Florida but is easily its most exciting, exhotic and cosmopolitan. Miami knows as Greater Miami and the beaches or just Greater Miami for short includes a number of islands and mainland communities including two cities, Miami and Miami beach. The city’s real genius however is that in recent years it has successfully absorbed the different cultures of its multi ethnic population and been influenced by them all and now Miami is considered a model community for the 21 st century and a compelling example of America’s changing face.

Miami is full of interesting and appealing tourist attractions and historical landmarks, there are so many wonderful tourist attractions to see, some of these are the Miracle Mile situated in the Coral Gables district and it is one of Miami’s major shopping regions for tourist and locals, the Cape Florida Lighthouse constructed almost 200 years ago is actually the oldest building in the south of Florida situated in the Bill Baggs Cape Florida Park, the Coral Castle created by one man who spent more than twenty years moving 100 tons of coral rock and carving each stone entirely by hand without the aid of any machinery, the Crandon Park Marina which includes some excellent fishing, spectacular areificial reefs, scuba diving, snorkeling and boat hiring, Metro Dade Cultural Center which is one of Miami’s most popular tourist attractions situated in central downtown Miami covering more than three aces and is home to a number of Miami’s top museums and the Martin Margulies Sculpture Park a unique exhibition of priceless works of art displayed on vast campus of Florida International University.

The Miami city is full of spectacular landmarks and monuments- the Miami Freedon Tower situated in downtown Miami is one of numerous important historic landmarks, the Opa locka situated in North Miami is one of Miami’s most distinctive buildings created by airplane designer and property developer Glenn Curtiss, the Port of Miami which is the world’s largest cruise port and is one of the major landmarks in downtown Miami and the most beautiful Spanish Monastery located in the north Miami beach area of Miami originally constructed in Segovia, Spain almost 900 years ago which was carefully reconstructed in Miami is now the oldest building in the western hemisphere and one of Miami’s most historic landmarks. The city of Miami houses some excellent museums providing interesting information on the history of Miami and many other exhibitions. Some of these are the Gold Coast Railroad Museum which is home to around 30 large retired locomotives including the Pullman sleeping car redesigned in 1942 for President Franklin Roosevelt and the most famous Art Museum declared as one of Miami’s most important cultural institutions by the state of Florida.

Accommodation in the city is little expensive, large number of hotels and guest houses are also available in and around the city to choose from. There are also some value hotels in the heart of the city but it should be booked in advance, the largest concentration of Miami hotels and motels are located on Miami beach which is an ideal place for nightlife.
