The Melbourne Airport is located 15 miles northwest of Melbourne city and on the southern coast of Australia, it is also one of the two busiest airport in Australia.

Travelling to and from Melbourne Airport

When travelling from the Melbourne city centre to airport on road take the Citylink toll road, which extends as Tullamarine Freeway towards the airport.

Bus or Shuttle Services : the shuttle bus service provided by Skybus serves passengers to and from the airport to city centre and hotels. The services are available 24 hrs and every 15 minutes for information call (0)3 9335 2811 or visit www.skybus.com.au. Public transportation buses also runs to and from airport to all tourist destinations.

Airport Terminal Information

Melbourne Airport has the terminals in the same airport building. The international terminal is located in the central part of the airport building and has all the provisions for travellers needs with many shops, banks, lounges and many more. More than 20 airlines operate from the international terminal.

The Qantas Domestic terminal is situated on the right of the international terminal while entering the airport from land side. The terminal offers through check to Qantas international and domestic also O’Connor airlines passengers with separate baggage check-in and ticket counter.

The Melbourne South terminal is situated on the left of international terminal when entering the terminal from land side and it serves passengers of Virgin Blue and Rex airlines.

Airport Information and Help Desk

The travellers information desk is located in the international terminal arrivals area or call (0)3 9297 1805. Another information desk is in the departure area providing travellers informations.

Currency Exchanger & ATMs : the Bureaux de change and cash dispencers are situated in the international terminal.

Food & Drinks : the airport’s international terminal has many variety of food outlet serving Australian and international cusines. Cafes, bars and resturants are also available throughout the airport building.

Shopping : for airport shopping includes duty free shops in the international terminal with GST free stores and downtown duty free shops. Stores are also available in other terminals.

Left / Lost Luggage : the left luggage is located in the international terminal near the arrivals hall. Lost luggage facility is not available.

Lounges : First class and VIP lounges are provided by some airlines only Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Cathay Pacific, Air New Zealand, Singapore Airlines and United Airlines

Other Facilities : internet facility is located in the international terminal departure area before security control.

Bathing or shower facility is available with shower kit in the international terminal departure area.

Baby change and play area is available in the terminals.

Medical centre is located in the internatinal terminal.

Business & Conference Facilities : are provided by Hilton Melbourne Airport with every necessary equipments required for business presentation so call for further information (0)3 8336 2000.

Facilities for Disabled : the airport international terminal has all provisions with specially designed text telephone in the ground floor. Wheelchair, toilets, lifts and parking is also available, for any special need the travellers information desk should be contacted on (0)3 9297 1805.
