There is nothing like a vacation at the serene blue-green blessed Mediterranean island. And while you are thinking about it you can actually go for Malta- a beautiful coastal nation with archipelago of seven islands, rich in historical treasures.
Getting to Malta has just become easier than ever as it has enlisted itself in the Schengen agreement- that means with a Schengen visa approved by the European Union, you can also enter Malta like the other European countries. You will need no more documents at the border. Also the American, Canadian and European Union citizens have the privilege of traveling without visa.
Malta has her own national airlines The Air Malta, which has regular flights to many European, North African and Middle Eastern cities. There are flights to/from Dublin, Bremen, London Luton, Stockholm (Skavsta), Pisa, Valencia and Girona. The international Airport of Malta is situated at Luqa.
Though a bit more expensive, one can also take the 4-hour boat trip to Malta from Italy . There are daily ferries to the Sicilian port of Catania , Italy . The high speed catamaran operating between Pozzallo and Valletta takes somewhat like 90 minutes for the entire trip. But with the marine trip there will always be a chance of cancellation due to troubled weather.
