
Malpensa Airport
Situated in the province of Varsae , Malpensa airport is one of the three international airports of Milan . The airport is connected to the main city Milan by the Milano-Varese highway and by railways service called "Malpensa Express". The airport is also connected to Linate Airport via bus services. To serve low cost and charter flights the Milan airport system has introduced another international airport named Orio al Serio Airport.
The airport has served more than 23.8 million passengers in 2007. Malpensa airport was the topmost international airport in Italy , being the second busiest airport to Leonardo Da Vinci International airport. The airport is also serving as the leading air gateway to Italy . The airport provides services to more than 15million people each year.
The airport has two terminals: one for the commercial traffic and one for the low-cost traffic. The first terminal has two satellites- one for national and another for Schengen. However the third satellite is still under construction as well as a third runway. Cargocity is the cargo terminal of the airport offering over 410000 tons of traffic yearly.
The airport is linked to the city via railway, bus services and car services.
