Exploring Malaga
Once you reach Malaga, getting around will not be a problem at all. Many of the other interesting places in Andalucía can be travelled to within a few hours. Coaches can be taken to Granada, Ronda and Cadiz. Regular train routes run to Seville. A number of tourist holiday resorts can also be found in the vicinity of the city, such as Torremolinos, Marbella and Nerja.
La Malagueta is the nearest beach to the City Center of Malaga. It is an excellent sunbathing spot. However, quieter and more beautiful beaches can be found further eastwards. It takes a while to reach those beaches on foot, but it is ideal for sightseeing. And if you are not in the mood for a stroll, feel free to take a bus from near the bull ring in the direction of El Palo.
Malaga has numerous places worth visiting, including Moorish castles, old cathedrals, and a number of museums. It is also a favourite location of modern art lovers, being the birthplace of the famous artist Pablo Picasso.
Malaga features excellent roads and motorways, which makes it very easy for tourists to visit neighbouring villages and towns. Cars can be hired from rent-a-car services in order to facilitate travel, and preordering rentals is a good idea during peak seasons.
The beautiful city of Malaga is a tourist’s dream, and exploring it can be a great experience.
