Malaga Airport, also known as Pablo Ruiz Picasso, has three terminals the newest of which opened in March 2010. Flights arriving at and departing from Terminal one generally cater to international destinations outside Europe. Terminal two played host to almost 99 per cent of the airports’ flights prior to Terminal three’s construction. These flights mainly consisted of arrivals and departures to and from European countries, particularly the UK, Ireland and countries included in the Schengen Agreement -Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.
Terminal three is the newest terminal building, and accommodates the majority of arrivals from and departures to various European destinations due to current building work in Terminal two.

Car Hire at Malaga Airport
There are nine Car Hire companies located onsite at Malaga Airport across the three terminal buildings, which include Auriga Crown, Autos Lido, Avis, Europcar, Goldcar, Hertz, National Atesa, Record and Sixt.
The desks in Terminal 1 can be found on the left just before the sliding doors which take you into the arrivals' hall.
In Terminal 2 the car hire desks are located downstairs and can be accessed by the ramp, which is signposted, from the arrivals' hall.
Terminal three’s car hire desks are positioned on the ground floor of the arrivals' area.
There are further car rental firms based offsite, which are accessible via a footbridge from the airport buildings. Alternatively, the majority of the companies provide dedicated courtesy buses, which run between their location and the airport.
Driving Directions to Airport
Follow the N340 dual carriageway to the south-eastern perimeter. Leave this road at the junction signposted Malaga 14km. It will also be signposted for Aeropuerto.
