Madrid-Barajas Airport is the main international airport that serves Madrid. It’s the largest airport in Spain and is located within the city limits of Madrid, 8 miles north-east of Puerta del Sol. There are 4 terminals at Madrid-Barajas; however Terminal 3 is rarely used:

If you are arriving at Terminal 1 then you will find the hire companies as you come out of baggage reclaim. This terminal has the offices of: Avis, Europcar, Hertz, National and Sixt.

If you are arriving at Terminal 2 then unfortunately for you the hire offices have been closed at this terminal and you will need to find your way to Terminals 1 or 4.

If you are arriving at Terminal 4 then you will find the hire companies one floor below ground floor. This terminal has the rental offices of: Avis, Europcar, Hertz, National and Sixt.

Driving Directions to Madrid Airport

If you are coming from the centre of Madrid then this journey will take you around 20 minutes. You will need to get onto the A-2 and travel along it for 4 miles before taking Exit 10 towards the M-40. After this follow the signs for M-14/M-11/M-13 and continue to follow the N-100 before taking Exit P-2 to the airport.
