Airport Location
The airport is located 8 miles northeast of Madrid and the M30 road in the city centre extends to A2, for airport exit after 12 kms.
Terminal Information
The airport terminal has three terminals and free shuttle bus service for transfer of passengers between terminals. The airport will have a new terminal ‘the satellite building’ and will be completed before 2005.
Travelling to and from Madrid Airport
By Bus : the bus stop is outside the airport terminal and public buses operating to Madrid and bus no. 200 has stops outside the terminal 1 and 2. Buses operate from all the terminals to, bus no.101 runs to Barajas-Canilejas and bus no.89 to Colon.
By Train : the underground Madrid Metro Line links the aiport to Madrid city’s central station Nuevos Ministerios. The metro line no.8 also provides fast link to central Madrid via the Mar de Cristal and also to railway station in Madrid from the Barajas.
Madrid Airport Information Desk
The information desk is located in all the three terminals and tourist information desk in terminal 1 and 2. The airport has Skycaps to assist pasengers and provide information.

Currency Exchanger & ATMs : in all the terminals there exchanger, ATMs and a 24 hour bank in terminal 1.
Food & Drinks : in all the terminals there are cafes, resturants and bars.
Shopping : for airport shopping there are many outlets in the terminals and also a duty free shop.
Left / Lost Luggage : the left luggage office is located in terminal 1 and 2.
Other Facilities : post office is available in the airport.
Medical centre and pharmacy is located in terminal 1.
Nurseries and children play area is located in terminal 1.
Travel agencies and tour operators are present in the terminals.
Madrid Airport Disabled Facilities
The airport terminals are wheelchair accessable and have lifts, ramps and toilets. Wheelchairs are available and for any special requirment passengers must inform the airlines while booking the tickets or in advance, before travelling to the airport. Reseved car parking space is available for disabled passengers.
