
Getting to Limoges
Limoges is a small historical town located inside Limousine province, Massif Central expanse of France. Getting to Limoges is fairly easy. You can go there by means of airplanes, bus, trains and also by car.
By air
The Bellgarde Airport of Limoges lies towards the northeast side from the centre of the city. Daily flights from places like Stansted, London, Paris and other cities of France come here.
By road
If coming from Paris by road, take the Paris-Orleans motorway. And if you are coming through Orleans, then keep heading towards south with the Orleans-Vierzon motorway. There on, continue towards south with the A20 motorway to Limoges. This total distance is approximately 400m.
Bus transit from surrounding small villages and towns can be prearranged through gare Routière or place des CIEL, which are contiguous from the railway station.
By train
Limoges also has first-class train services from almost all regional cities and has direct trains coming from Toulouse and Paris. No less than 10 trains leave daily for Limoges from Paris's “gare d'Austerlitz”.
The magnificent train station of Limoges, the "gare des Bénédictins" lies slightly on the northeast side from the town centre.
