Augustinian Church – the Augustinians with a bookshop inside are the oldest established religious order in Limerick, since the 1215. The church is located in the fish lane area at the old English town and the Augustinians were expelled during the reign of Henry VIII. They returned in the Fish Lane in 1740 and moved again to nearby Creagh lane in 1788.

Castle Lane – the newly built Irish streetscape was designed to resemble a street of the 18 th and 19 th century building. The Castle Lane links Nicholas Street at one end to the quays of the river Shannon on the other, adjacent to King John’s Castle.

Church of the Holy Rosary – the 1950 wooden church located on the Ennis Road was designed by the Derry architectural practice, Corr and McCormick. The church was built as a temporary structure yet it stands in perfect condition still today. It contains objects of modern Irish religious arts.

King John’s Castle – the Normans first built the castle in the early part of 12 th century and the oldest section is the drum towers. The archaeology center has three excavated, pre-Norman houses; and two exhibition centers display scale models of Limerick from its founding in 922 AD.

Hunt Museum – the beautiful 18 th century building houses the museum in the restored old customs house. The museums include 2,000 collections of ancient, medieval and modern treasures, also antiquities and art objects from Europe and Ireland.

Limerick Museum – display collections into the history of Limerick includes archaeology, natural history, civic treasures, traditional crafts of lace, silver and furniture. Also displays include historical paintings, maps, prints and photographs. The city’s original charters from Oliver Cromwell and king Charles II and the civic sword presented by Queen Elizabeth I.
