It was a farmhouse whose dwellers were the Butler family, the possessors of Kirkstall Forge- when King Henry VIII closed the monasteries. The Leeds City Council finally purchased the Abbey House in 1926. The museum holds a vast assortment of objects from the life in Leeds during the ancient times.
• City Art Gallery : A home of stunning artworks from the 18 th century. These include legendary Victorian masterpieces, modern British artwork and beautiful French paintings in prints and watercolor.
• Town Hall : This hall truly symbolizes the city of Leeds . Being one of the best Victorian buildings in the world, it is the address of amazing concerts, mostly during the International Concert reason.
• Millennium Square : One of the most happening places in the city it is an ideal hang out place during concerts, art exhibitions and Christmas.
