Le Mans

Le Mans the capital of the Sarthe region of France and the oldest existing province of Maine today, it is the second city of the Pays de la Loire region. Le Mans benefits from an excellent geographical situation between the Parisian basin and West European regions.

Le Mans is a town rich in art and history and is also resolutely turning towards a center of activities. Among the museums in the city the famous are the Racing Circuit and Musee de l’Automobile tracing the history of the car from the earliest black Fords to the latest models available in any colour including formula 1 racers and the most modern motorbikes and pushbikes; Musee de la Reine Berengere located in one of the ancient old houses in the vieille ville displays the artefacts discovered in the area and the art works from local artists are on display and they often host temporary exhibitions; and the Musee and Parc de Tesse depicts 600 years of art is housed in a 19 th century bishops house, collections in this museums are paintings,sculptures, modern art and even an Egyptian mummy.
