Location
The airport is located in Sepang 34 miles south of Kuala Lumpur and is linked to the airport by the north-south central link expressway (ELITE).
Terminal Information
The airport has two terminals; the main terminal and the satellite building. Both the terminals are connected by Aerotrain, provides service every five minutes and the journey takes only three minutes.
Kuala Lumpur Airport Information Desk
The airport information desk is located in the arrivals hall in the satellite section opposite to Aerotrain station. In the main building another information desk is located near the escalators leading towards the immigration hall call (Ph: +60 (0) 38 777 8888) and for flight information (visit: www.klia.com.my). The tourist information desk is located in the baggage reclaim area and in the arrivals hall of satellite opposite to Aerostation. For information on airport services a visitor’s service center is also available in the main terminal building.
Traveling to and from Kuala Lumpur Airport
By Rail : the express railway service (KLA Ekspres) operates between the airport and KL City Air Terminal (KLCAT), the city’s central station. The tickets can be purchase from the vending machines at the airport and also after arrival at KLCAT.
By Bus : the bus stand is located on the ground floor of block C at the car parks of the airport. The airport bus and local bus operate from the airport to Kuala Lumpur and also to Nilai KTM Komuter station. The ticket counter for the bus service is located in the arrivals hall of the airport and also at the bus station.
Kuala Lumpur Airport Facilities
Currency Exchanger & ATMs : both the financial facilities are located on the departure and arrivals level in the main terminal building in the satellite section and in the arrivals hall. The bank is located on the ground floor of block C in the short-term car parks close to the bus stop.
Food & Drinks : cafes, restaurants and fast food outlets serve various international fast foods, asian delicacies and various other cuisine at the terminal.
Shopping : duty free shop, local and also international branded shops, bookstore and many various shop located in the satellite, on level 5 in departure lounge and on level 3 in arrivals hall.
Left / Lost Luggage : the left luggage office is located on the public concourse on both the departures and arrivals level.
Other Facilities : post office is located on the departure level in the main terminal.
Baby changing room and children facilities are located throughout the terminal.
24-hour medical center is located in the arrivals concourse and emergency room is located in the satellite.
Pharmacy is located in the main terminal and in the satellite.
Coin operated lockers are available in the satellite and a worldwide baggage delivery service is provided from counter J42 on the departure level of the main terminal building.
Kuala Lumpur Airport Facilities for Disabled
The airport has lifts, ramps, specially toilets and adaptable telephones available at easily accessable places in the airport building. If passengers need any special assistance at the airport the airlines must be informed when booking the tickets. Designated car parks are located on level 2 in the covered short-term parking, which is close to the link bridge connecting the terminal.
