The offshore airport is located 31 miles south of downtown Osaka on a man made island. The world’s second largest structure visible from space and at the Immense terminal 41 aircrafts can be parked.
Osaka Kansai Airport Terminals
The airport has single terminal named as Immense terminal divided into four passenger terminal building 1F, 2F, 3F and 4F.
Information and Help Desk
The airport information desks are located on observation hall, sky view and each levels of the terminal call (Ph: 0724 55 2500 or 0724 55 2082). Travel counter for hotel reservation and transportation information is located in the center of 1 st floor (Ph: 0724 55 2911). Kansai Tourist information center is located on 1 st floor (Ph: 0724 56 6025).
The reception counter for VIP rooms is located on the 2 nd floor of the terminal (Ph: 0724 55 2328)
Traveling to and from Kansai Airport
By Rail : the JR West Kansai Airport Line station at the airport runs Limited Express ‘HarUKa’ and Kansai Airport Rapid Service to different destinations. Visit: www.jrwest.com for further information on train timings and stops.
By Bus : the bus station is located on the first floor of international arrivals for transporting passengers to the city. Another stop is located on the fourth floor of international departures for passengers coming into the airport from the city centre. Further information is available on bus transportation of Kansai Airport Transportation Enterprise (Ph: 0724 61 1374).
By Ferry : shuttle buses transport passengers from the airport terminal to ferry port and the bus stop is located on the first floor of the passenger terminal. The airport has sea route from Awaji Island (Sumoto) and takes about 50 minutes by ferry service. Sumoto Pearl Line operates the ferry service from Awaji call (Ph: 0799 23 1444) for further information.
Osaka Kansai Airport Facilities
Currency Exchanger & ATMs : bureau de change is located in the transit area of 1 st , in the center of 3 rd floor and 4 th floor. Cash dispenser machines are located on the 1 st, 2 nd and 4 th floor of the terminal and a bank is located on the 2 nd floor.
Food & Drinks : the airport has finest of international restaurants; some 20 Japanese restaurants serving world famous sushi and Japanese noodles. Many small restaurants, number of coffee shops and bars before and after security control.
Shopping : the main concentration of 100 above shops are located in the passenger terminal(2F/3F). Duty free shops are located at the international Gates area.
Other Facilities : children room is situated in the center of 3 rd floor and a nursery in the North/South wing.
Refresh room is situate in the center of 3 rd floor.
Clinic is located in the north side of 2 nd floor.
Shower room is located in the north side of 2 nd floor.
Internet facility is available on the 1 st, 2 nd and 4 th floor of the terminal.
Kansai Airport Facilities for Disabled
The airport has lifts, ramps located in the terminal for passenger’s access to different levels. Wheelchair is provided on request, Ambulift is available for boarding the aircraft and any special need the airlines should be informed in advance. The airport has specially designed telephones, ATMs, toilets, drinking water facility and showers located at comfortable to access places. Car parking at designated car parks are available at the airport.
