Location

The airport is located 14 miles south of New Delhi, the capital city of India.

Terminal Information

The airport has two terminals the Domestic Terminal 1, which has terminal 1A, 1B and Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal II. The distance between Domestic and International terminals is 8 kms and Indian Airlines provides complimentary shuttle bus service between terminals.

Indira Gandhi Airport Information Desk

The airport information desks are located in both the International and Domestic terminals and also the Airport Manager’s office to assist passengers at the airport.

Traveling to and from Indira Gandhi Airport

By Bus : the bus stand Inter State Bus Terminus is located outside the arrival visitors hall of terminal II. The buses operated by Pradeep Travels, Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and E.A.T.S runs to hotels in Delhi and various locations in Delhi.

By Taxi : pre-paid taxis are available at the airport provided by Airports Authority of India and Delhi Traffic Police for safe travel of passengers.

By Rail : the railway reservation desk is located in the arrivals area of terminal II for passengers willing to travel by train. For further information call (Ph: 25653775).

Currency Exchanger & ATMs : the bureau de change and cash dispenser machines are located in both the terminals. Another ATM is located at terminal 1A and arrivals visitors area of terminal II.

Food & Drinks : there are cafes, bars and restaurants serving international and local delicacies located in the arrivals and departure areas of both the terminals.

Shopping : any items purchased at the airport foreign currency is only accepted. For airport shopping there are shops located in both the terminals selling variety of commodities from gifts, handicrafts, garments, alcohol at the duty free shop located in the transit hall.

Left / Lost Luggage : the left luggage office is located at the premium car parks area of terminal II and general car parks opposite terminal IB.

Other Facilities : the post office is located in terminal II of departure hall.

Medical center is located in both the terminals.

Baby care center and baby change rooms are available in the terminals.

Internet kiosks and access points are located throughout the terminals.

Indira Gandhi Airport Facilities for Disabled

The airport has lifts and ramps located at specific points for passengers to access different levels and specially designed toilets, telephones are available. Wheelchair and wheelchair push are available at the airport on prior notice. Ambulift is also available for boarding the aircraft and any specific assistance should be informed in advance. Car parking at designated car parks are provided for disabled passengers.
