The kingdom of Holland was formed in 1815 and at present a modern industrialized nation, located in Western Europe bordering the North Sea between Belgium and Germany.

Rijksmuseum in Maastricht : the museum is exhibiting some fifty new paintings including works by the big three Rubens, Jordaens en Van Dyck. The other paintings are the best of 16 th and 17 th century Flemish art from the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam in the rooms of the Bonnefantenmuseum in Maastricht.
Masterworks of the Golden Age : the Philips wing of the Rijksmuseum will be presenting all the masterworks of the 17 th century, which includes the highlight of northern Dutch painting and sculpture, craft and history of the Golden age. The paintings include the works of master such as Rembrandt, Vermeer and Frans Hals in an ideal entorage.
Theater in World War II : the theater institute Nederland stages the exhibition of the ‘Theaters during World War II’ in the theater Museum.
The Directors Choice : a display of collections of the Kroller-Muller Museum displayed by the director, Evert van Straaten and his team. The collection began in 1905 with collection’s wealth of absolute masterpieces.
Frans Van Mieris : the royal picture gallery of the famed Leiden painter Frans van Mieris, who received commissions from Cosimo III de Medici and ArchdUKe Leopold Wilhelm of Vienna. Van Mieris and his master Gerrit Dou were the most important representatives of the Leiden fine painters school.
Delft : the small city centrally located between the Hague and Rotterdam was granted a charter in1246 and the original medieval structure of that period is still recognizable in the old city center. During the Golden Age Delft was a wealthy trading city, housing the Dutch East India Co. and also home to scientist and painters.
The City of Orange : located in Delft which had special ties with the Royal Dutch House. The prince William of Orange was assassinated here in 1584 in the present Municipal Museum known as Het Prinsenhof. The bullet marks of the attack on the prince are still visible.
Dutch Windmills, Art and Industry : the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam Schiphol will be exhibiting typical Dutch windmills and the collections will consist not only paintings of windmills by the famous painters such as Gabriel, Roelofs and Jongkind but also of a number of very ingenious 18 th century models.
