
Exploring Heathrow
Heathrow is full of interesting things for both the casual and the educated tourists. The airport blends the world with the locality. Without being bored, the visitors can stay weeks in important tourist centers. The people here are very open-hearted and communicative. Hanging around Heathrow is pretty much exciting and hence, it has made Heatrow a tourist paradise.
Heathrow is near the southern end of the London Borough of Hillingdon. One of two international London airports is located within the fringe of the London. The East Bedfont and Stanwell are to the south. Heathrow is encircled by areas such as; Harlington, Harmondsworth, Longford and Cranford to the north. To the east are Hounslow and Hatton.
The Heathrow airport has two main runways running from east towards west and it has four terminals in total. Terminal 5, that is the addition to the existing 4 terminals, is now under construction and will be prepared to launch in March 2008. The Heathrow authority has elaborate planning to redevelop or rebuild other terminals and even may put in some more extra runways. The construction works, that is supposed to begin in 2008 and to be finished by 2012, of Heathrow East will restore Terminal 2 and The Queens Building.
