Having with a very strong link to the city and the fairgrounds, the City of Hanover has a very efficient transport system. Autobahns run to Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt and Berlin, having good connections to Bremen, Cologne, Amsterdam and Brussels. The Major car-rental firms are located in the Hauptbahnhof. Both single tickets and day passes are available. The S-Bahn No 5 makes the trip from the airport to the Hauptbahnhof in 16 minutes. To get to the fairgrounds, switch to the U-Bahn No 8 (17 minutes).
