Hamburg, the green city on waters is the second largest German city with a large lake in the center of the city. St. Pauli Museum – the museum displays various lives in the vivacious working class district of St. Pauli’s in a series of photos and displays, which has been recently moved to the Schanzenviertal. The museum displays exhibits of St. Pauli’s famous sons and daughters and also on everyday people.
St. Michaeliskirche – the St. Michael’s Church is locally known, as the Michel is Hamburg’s principal church and northern Germany’s finest baroque style building. The church was constructed between 1649 to 1661 was razed after lightening struck and was rebuilt again in the 1750 in the Nordic baroque style but was gutted in 1906.
Museum Fur Hamburgische Geschichte – the museum’s collections of artifacts give an excellent overview of Hamburg’s history and development, from 9 th century to present. The exhibits include pictures and models portraying the history of the port and shipping between 1650 and 1860.
Reeperbahn – the most famous street in Germany is the Reeperbahn Street full of restaurants, cafes, bars, theaters, clubs and many more entertainment outlets.
Rathaus – the town hall a large building is the heart of the city, the city-state is an independent city and simultaneously one of the 16 Federal states of Germany. Hamburg has a city council and a state government, which have their administrative head quarters in the Rathaus.
