Hamburg Airport

Location of the Airport: The Hamburg Airport is located 5 miles north of Hamburg and is between the ring roads R2 and R3 in the A433 motorway, making it easy to reach from the city. The A7 feeder road provides a connection to the airport at exit Schnelsen-Nord.

Traveling to & from the Hamburg Airport:

By Rail: Rail station at the terminal 1 and 4 operates rail service to the Ohlsdorf U-Bhan and S-bhan to the main railway station and the city center.
By Bus: Number of bus services is provided to the city center and other places in and around Hamburg. Stars Limousinen- Service serves a limousine service, tel: (0) 40 5075 3540). Night bus service is also available which stops at the main railway station. Door to door shuttle service is also available and is provided by the Travel Porter, (tel: (180) 507 5286; website: www.travelporter.de)
By Taxi: Taxi services are readily available outside the airport terminal.
Terminal Information: Hamburg airport has four terminals and the airport authority to transfer passengers between the four terminals provides a free shuttle bus.

Information Desk: Information desk is provided in all the four terminals, and information desk between the arrivals level of terminal 3 and 4 provides airport information, travel insurance and many other information. A tourist information desk is also available in the airport terminal.

Hamburg Airport Facilities :

Currency: Banks and bureau de change are available in the terminal 4, ATMs are available at the terminal 1 and a post office is also available at the terminal 4. Wireless Internet access is available all through out the airport.
Refreshments: Restaurants, bars, café, food outlets and many other fast food outlets are available in the terminal 4 levels 0 and 3. Other terminals also have few fast food outlets.
Shopping: Number of shops are available in the terminals 3 and 4 including duty free shops, and gifts.
Lost & Left Luggage: The airport authority handles lost luggage facility and left luggage facility is available in the terminal 4. Trolleys are also available for a small deposit.
Other Facility: First aid service, pharmacy is opened 24 hours in the terminal 4. A chapel and children’s play area is in the terminal 3.
Car parking: Car parking is available in all the four terminals and car park P6 is a long-term car park and is linked by a free shuttle bus to all the terminals. Hamburg Airport Facility for the Disabled: Wheel chairs and disabled toilets are all over the airport terminal, any assistance or need required by the disabled passengers information to the airline should be given in advance. Disabled parking facility is available in the airport terminal, adapted wheel chair push and provisions and door to door transfer service is provided by DRK mediservice, tel: (0) 40 5075 3353)
