Grenada located in the Caribbean Islands between the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean, north of Trinidad and Tobago. The country has beautiful beaches, rainforests, lakes, and waterfalls with unique cultural architecture. St. George is the capital city of Granada.

The three islands Grenada, Carriacou and Petite in the windward chain of islands threaded by the Caribbean Sea and linking north and south America. The Atlantic casts magnificent swells in the eastern coastline and the Caribbean Sea on the western coast.

Attractions in Grenada

GrenadaSt. George – on the southeastern end of the island with beaches.

St. David – on the southwestern end of the island with small bays and inlets.

St. Andrew – the parish with the longest coastline and also the largest producer of agricultural products.

St. Patrick – the northerly parish with beautiful old homes and estate houses.

St. Mark – the smallest parish is a fishing island with mount St. Catherine as the highest peak on the island.

St. John – on the west coast of is home to Gouyave, the town that never sleeps.

Carriacou

The most populated island of the Granada with beautiful beaches and quaint rum shops, the island got its name from the Carib word meaning land of reefs. The coral origins are best represented by the six-mile barrier reef on the eastern side of the island. Kick ‘Em Jenny, the active underwater volcano, is evidence of Carriacou’s volcanic past.

Petite Martinique

A small volcanic cone with a huge area has excellent beaches on the leeward side of the island. Smuggling was a way of life with fisherman selling their catch to the neighboring St. Marteen for their required items.
