Weather in Greece
The weather of Greece is mainly Mediterranean, but due to geographical variations there can be seen deviations from the ideal climate. Like: the western part of the Pindus mountain range shows maritime features and is rather wetter, but the eastern part remains drier and windier in summer.
In the Aegean Islands, especially the Cyclades and the Dodecanese, southern and parts of central Evia, low lying areas of Attica, the eastern and south Peloponnese and the low lying areas of Crete- the summer is sunny and dry. The occasional precipitation here pours down heavy shower accompanied by thunderstorms. Winter here is wet and the little snow that falls during this time don’t last long.
On higher mountains like Pindus and Rhodope the winter might be harsh but the summer remains cooler. Here goes a statistical data of average temperature in the land acquired from the wikipedia-
Average annual temperature in Greece ranges from +14C to +20C. However, since Greece is generally a mountainous country, real average temperatures vary considerably from region to region.
