The airport is also known as Islay Airport. The Glenegedale Airport is
situated on the beautiful Isle of Islay on the south west coast of Scotland.
The airport offers the best access point towards Scotland and runs regular
service to Glenegedale for other destinations around the world. In Scottish
language Islay is known as ‘Queen of Hebrides’.
The airport is 25 miles from Northern Ireland coastline and lies on a prime location for tourist to explore the islands on the west coast of Scotland. The island is world famous for unique distinctive flavours of Malt Whisky and has seven distilleries.
Driving Directions : the airport is located on the A846 route, which is 5.5 miles to Bowmore Village and 4.5 miles south of Port Ellen.
All the towns on the island are well linked with bus service from the airport.

There are shops, cafes, meals & refreshments, gifts shop, books stores
and best local malt whisky.
Passengers are expected to do their banking before travelling to the airport.
Banking and business facilities are not available.
Facilities for Disabled : the airport has toilets, ramps and easy access places specially designed. For more information contact the information desk in the terminal building. Ambulift is also available for boarding passengers in the aircraft.
