
Best of Girona
The formidable fortification of the city Girona stands on the steep of the hill. The modern posture of the city lies in the plain land across the river area.
The most ancient cathedral was used as the mosque by the Moors. It was then rebuilt. The monument of the school is one of the finest Gothic structures of Spain. There are eighty six steps in it. There is a vault which is the widest about seventy three feet of the Christendom. Among the decorations there is a touch of Valencian silversmith. This interior design is divided in to three parts of statuettes.
The Collegiate Church of Sant Feliu is made up in the style of Gothic of fourteen century. It is one of the few churches of Spain which has an authentic spire on it. There is also a chapel which has been dedicated to St. Narcissus who was one of the early bishops of the time. A Romanesque styled church is the Benedictine church of Sant Pere de Galligants. There was also a great deal of Jewish monument in the city Girona which was demolished as the Jewish were terminated from Spain. But few of them are still found in the city. There’s a doorway of a very old building which has a rectangular indentation. There’s also a Catalan Jewish Museum.
