Disabled Visitors

The standard British disabled badge for parking ( as used in the UK ) is valid throughout the European Community.

The standardised EU Blue Parking Badge is supported by a leaflet compiled by the AA for the European Commission. It explains how the Blue Badge system works in 18 European countries.

A multi-lingual section can be left open on the dashboard with the Blue Badge to tell traffic wardens that the disabled visitor enjoys the same parking concessions as a disabled resident.  To avoid complications over parking rules, please display your badge with a note stating that it is valid in Germany according to EU regulation CEMT-Resolution CM(77)24. The German translation would be "Dieser Ausweis für Behinderte ist auch in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland gültig, gemäss der EU Richtlinie CEMT-Resolution CM(77)24”.
