The city has the facility of frequent bus services from Just off Eyre Sq to all major cities in the Republic and the North. There are daily Nestor bus services of 5 to 8 to Dublin by Dublin airport. Hourly buses to Dublin and Dublin airport, run by City Link, depart from the tourist office several times daily. Michael Nee Coaches runs two or three daily services to towns throughout Connemara. Buses depart from Forster St in Galway, just across from the tourist office. A bus runs daily Monday to Saturday between the airport and Galway bus station and is much cheaper than a taxi. Most hostels, including Kinlay House and Salmon Weir Hostel, hire bikes. At Europa Bicycles, on Earl's Island opposite Galway Cathedral, you can hire bikes at a reasonable price for 24 hours. You can walk to almost everything in Galway and even out to Salt hill, but there are regular buses from Eyre Square. Bus No 1 runs from Eyre Square to Salt hill and sometimes to Black rock. Taxi ranks are located on Eyre Sq, on Bridge St, and next to the bus/train station.
